The Spooky Season

What makes it so spooky? Other than Halloween it is the upcoming chilly months and all that they bring.

My number one spooky to avoid this season…broken water pipes. Be sure to detach hoses from the house before the freezing begins. This will prevent a lot of pain and expense in the spring. Number two is to get your furnace a checkup now. Don’t wait until you are wrapped up in 3 sweaters to call your HVAC company. Do it now. If you don’t know of one, I do. Call me.

October still blooming at Rancho San Rafael Park

It has been months since I’ve posted. That means I’ve been very busy, which is good. But now I’m ready for the fall deceleration. More hiking and picture taking.

The wooden bridge over Wilbur D. May Park. One of my favorites!

The ability to escape into the wild is a big part of my mental and spiritual health. In 5-10 minutes, I can drive to several places to clear my head. I love living here in the high desert of Reno.

Monitor Pass will be closing soon. We always sneak in an October drive to take in the fall foliage. This is down south of Gardnerville and well worth the trip

The higher interest rates may be scaring some people. Don’t be afraid to buy now. There are programs to help first-time buyers and Veterans. When rates inevitably drop, refinancing can put you in a better position and keep you out of the future buying frenzy that lies ahead. Get in now and beat the system.

Stay spooky and have a wonderful October!
