Do I really need an agent to sell my house?

You may ask yourself, should I try to sell my house myself without a real estate agent? The short answer is probably no. The longer answer is…

“If you have experience selling a home, a solid understanding of the real estate market, time to spare, and a high tolerance for paperwork and bureaucracy, you could be fine selling your house alone.” - Karen Hube Barron’s, Financial Writer

There is a lot that goes into becoming a good real estate agent. Even with years of experience, agents have continuing education that they must attend. There are a lot of forms to fill out and documents to sign that are ever-evolving. Attending classes regularly is an important part of my licensing.

With the rising mortgage rates, a seller may fear being unable to sell. People still need to sell and buy houses. Life circumstances do not care what the market is doing. Together we can decide what we need to do to get your house sold. A good lender will be with us along the way. I know a few incredible lenders who have programs available to help buyers.

As a licensed agent, I have a marketing platform that a layman doesn’t have access to.

Our MLS (Multiple Listing Service) publishes homes for sale that are viewed by all 3000+ agents in the area. I have my own website and various other social media sites on which I will showcase your home.

We will decide together what improvement to make to the property if any. Replacing all the carpet could be very costly, but updating the paint is something a homeowner may be able to do themselves, and that makes a huge impact.

Download my Seller’s Guide to prepare yourself and your home for the market. Having a checklist can help ease the stress when beginning the process of selling a home.

Don’t go it alone. Make an appointment with me for a preliminary interview. Let me ease the fears you may have about selling.
