Independence Day!!

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, and one of my amazing clients has invited us to share a box with them at the Aces game.  Yes please and thank you! The Aces are known for putting on quite the 4th of July show.  Baseball is beside the point for me. It’s about the yummy food and the good company, then baseball—special thanks to Ralph & Gosia and the girls.

Anyone, anywhere in the US can feel the divisions within our citizenry. I hear all kinds of views from different people.  I understand why people are confused or upset on both sides.  What I want for tomorrow is to remember that with all its faults, we live in a pretty amazing country.  We are living in a grand experiment never before tried in our history. To bring together people from all different cultures and creeds and try to live together.

This experiment comes with tremendous growing pains and learning curves.  When the slogan was etched on the Statue of Liberty, we had no idea how it would work out. It has been very calm at times and very often rocky.

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Having worked with many immigrants, from many continents, I have heard them tell me what a great country we live in and how grateful they are to be here.

In the end, I think we all want the same things. We all want to feel safe. We all want to have confidence that we have good honest representation within our government. We all want the freedom of self-expression and the ability to make our lives better.

On July 4th, I will strive to put aside my fears and be grateful for all I have and all I have been given because of where I was born. I’ve put up my flag and my red, white, and blue wreath and even have red lights up in the evenings. Happy 4th everyone. Be safe.

If you are interested in buying or know someone who is, I hope you will pass along my name.  Also, if you haven’t had a Comparative Market Analysis lately, call me and I can get one to you in no time.
