Homeownership and the Summer Season
Did everyone have a good Memorial Day weekend? We worked mostly with a bit of play thrown in.
In the picture above you can see the beginning of my deck refurbishment. After a good power washing it will need to dry out for a couple of days. Then I will prime and paint. Or rather the guy I hired will.
I spend the weekend on an interesting real estate transaction. A Buyer called me out of the blue thinking I was an old friend of his. He asked me how Bill and the kids were doing and I had to admit, I didn’t have a Bill or a kid that had been here since he moved out on his own at 17. We had a good rapport and he asked me to work for him anyway. It’s interesting how things come about.
On Monday, Tony and I took Mags on a nice drive from Reno to Portola to Truckee and back to Reno. It’s a beautiful drive with many places to stop and get your paws wet.
We also had a $10 win on a lottery ticket from a while back and needed to cash it in.
It may seem impossible to buy a home right now. Prices are high and so are interest rates. But it is not impossible. There are so many programs to help people purchase. Lenders are working overtime to help their Buyers. I work with the best lenders. They are super experienced and willing to explain things in detail.
If you are interested in buying or know someone who is, I hope you will pass along my name. Also, if you haven’t had a Comparative Market Analysis lately, call me and I can get one to you in no time.
The summer season is here. Time to get to work and play!
