Holiday Road Nevada
You know the song ‘Holiday Road’ from the Vacation movie? It’s stuck in my head as we drove home from Las Vegas yesterday.
We took a much-needed long weekend away and now it’s time to get back to work.
The Nevada desert is so beautiful to me. It varies quite a bit from Northern to Southern in colors and flora. I wonder if it is so obvious to someone not raised here; if they can see how much the landscape changes in an 8-hour drive south.
We hiked the Red Rocks on Saturday morning. What a perfect time to go as there were not too many people and parking was easy.
On Sunday, Tony drove a Ferrari! We went to Exotics Racing where they have the cars and the track. He had a blast.

Then we took the monorail up and down The Strip. I’m not a gambler and I’ve been raised around casinos, but Vegas is something else. It’s a spectacle to behold. The fountains of the Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel were both thrilling to view. Allegiant Stadium is huge and menacing in appearance appropriately enough. But my favorite attraction has to be the Sphere. We had a perfect view of it from our hotel room which was fantastic. It would be a cute happy face one minute and an eerie blackhole the next. Occasionally it looked like the moon or another celestial form.
Now we are home. It is so nice to get away, especially to someplace warmer. But it will be warm again here soon.
If you or someone you know is looking to sell their home, please remember I’m here for you. We are predicting a strong real estate market going into 2024.
