Rent Increases

Small clear planter full of change with a sprout

The tax season is essentially over for almost everyone. At least for this year. We are trying to decide what to do with our refunds or how to save for the installments soon to be due.

On top of that, it is the time of year when many landlords institute rent increases. I’ve recently had friends reach out to me about rent increases or have been asked to move because the owners have other plans for the home in which they live. It can be very stressful.

As always I encourage everyone to try to purchase a home. I don’t know anyone who likes to move repeatedly per someone else’s demands. And reconfiguring your expenses to allow for a rent increase can really hurt.

A lot of people I talk to are afraid they may not qualify or fear that they do not have the down payment needed to buy.  But they will never know until they ask. I work with amazing lenders. There are several programs to help first-time homebuyers. A first-time homebuyer can be anyone who doesn’t own a home currently. Even if you may have in the past, you can still qualify for this category.

If you are worried about your credit score, it is essential to talk to a lender who can help you get things moving in the right direction.  As the saying goes…how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

So please reach out to me today. I don’t want to see you kicked out of your home ever again.

On a completely different subject, I want to talk about my incredible website designer, Angie Allen, Angie Allen Web Design. The amount of work that goes into designing a website is staggering. It takes hours of computer work alone. Add to that the logo design, color schemes, templates, contact buttons, and on and on and on. I never could have done it on my own. So I just wanted to give a shout-out to her.

Angie has a wide array of programs from which to choose. I love my website and I hope that you will like it also. If you need any help with a website and want to improve your online profile, reach out to Angie. I have added a link above to take you there.

Be sure to get outside and look at the blooming trees before they shed. They also smell amazing!
